These photos give a good example of the intricate shapes and fine tapers that can be waterjet cut. This allows tiles to be easily and accurately laid on site, saving not only time but also more importantly reducing on site costs.

There are more points to consider about this project, which at first do not seem apparent. There were areas where the direction of the tiles altered. Also all the tiles making up the border, were cut on all four sides. Finally there were many different sized supporting columns, situated in or fringing the edges of the tiled areas.
